Day 1: Intoduction to Adobe Illustrator and Vector-Based Graphics
OverviewIn this project, students will discover how to create and manipulate shapes using Adobe Illustrator.
First, we will discuss why Adobe Illustrator is an important program to learn in terms of digital image making, take a quiz, and then we'll jump into a project where we'll learn how to make different kinds of shapes using different tools and techniques. |

CriteriaAbstract Shape Design
Create an abstract composition of shapes. You must create lines and shapes with the use of the color tool. Use the eraser to create interesting effects. Just see what you can do! Photograph-Based Design Create shapes based off of a photograph (clover). Combining Techniques Create a landscape using both the Shape Tools, Pen Tool, and the Image Trace tool. What Mr. Hoering is looking for... Effective use of the Pen tool, Shape tool, Eraser, the Color Picker, and the Image Trace Tool. All image sizes should be 1200 x 1200 pixels.
